Green Space Change Presentation

Graphic Design

I worked as a designer with an individual in the Sustainable Urban Development program at DePaul University. I designed a functional presentation to demonstrate their capstone project to their cohort and program leaders. The project explained the implications of historical redlining practices in Chicago, related to the green space access present day using GIS mapping.

The client wanted something not overly designed but that would emphasize the information. The presentation had to be clear, concise, and visually appealing -balancing consistent engagement and messaging. Images of public parks located in Chicago were used as the main visual throughline to display the variety of local green spaces currently available in the city. The color pallet was drawn directly from these image to give the design a sense of cohesion.
