This poster set was produced to visualize the similarities between two memories.
TW: suicide and abduction
The two memories visualized are one of me being abducted while hitchhiking in rural France and the other is of being hospitalized after a suicide attempt. The removal of text creates the pattern from my hospital socks and the bolded text creates the pattern of tire treads. The lyrics from Re-Do by Modern Baseball follow my own reflections on the events that lead me to being hospitalized and the how I handled my time there. The text repeats along with lyrics from The Beer by Kimya Dawson that resonates with how I remember the time I was abducted.
