Memory Poster Set

This poster set was produced to visualize the similarities between two memories.

TW: suicide and abduction

The two memories visualized are one of me being abducted while hitchhiking in rural France and the other is of being hospitalized after a suicide attempt.

 

The removal of text from the first poster (left) creates the pattern found on the hospital socks given to me during my stay. The bolded text on the second poster (right) is meant to create the pattern of tire treads, a reminder of the car used during the abduction. The lyrics from Re-Do by Modern Baseball follow my own reflections on the events that lead me to being hospitalized and the how I handled my time there. My own reflection along with the lyrics from The Beer by Kimya Dawson, were used in the second poster which resonated with me and how I remember the time I was abducted.
