How are things going?

Working with information given to me by the Adva Center, a nonpartisan policy research institute in Israel,

I created a personal project reflecting on the state of Israel -specifically the effects of its social political policies on the population.

As an expat, unaware of the cultural nuances, I stuck to the facts provided in the report coupled with interviews of locals about their relationship to their neighbors and their general quality of life.

 

I wanted the information in the booklet to be more accessible and eye-opening. In order to achieve this I paired stock images of idealistic Israel that is being sold and promised with blunt bold copy to contrast the reality of the social economic impact on the people. All of this to question the idealistic image of Israel that is sold to the rest of the world.
